KazAID Unites Central Asian Representatives at a Data Visualization Training Seminar in Astana

From 8 to 10 October 2025, a regional seminar on data visualization for Central Asian countries was held at Astana International University, bringing together more than 20 participants from Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan. The seminar was organized by the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan in partnership with the Kazakhstan Agency of International Development (KazAID), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA).

The seminar aimed to enhance the professional qualifications of specialists from the statistical agencies of Central Asian countries. Participants mastered modern methods of statistical data visualization using tools such as R, Tableau, and Apache Superset.

The program covered a wide range of topics — from the basics of data visualization to the creation of interactive analytical panels and dashboards — enabling participants to present statistical information in a clearer, more accessible, and engaging way.

Reliable and visually understandable data form the foundation for effective policymaking, investment, and international cooperation. We are pleased to facilitate knowledge sharing and capacity building among our Central Asian partners. This seminar demonstrates how the region can work together for shared progress,” emphasized Arken Arystanov, Chairman of the Kazakhstan Agency of International Development (KazAID), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Upon completion of the program, participants received certificates of completion recognizing their professional development and contribution to improving the quality and accessibility of statistical data for analysts, policymakers, and the general public.
