CERTIFICATES AWARDED TO PARTICIPANTS OF THE FIRST COHORT OF THE “AVICENNA: HEALTHCARE” PROGRAM
April 22, 2025, Astana – A certificate awarding ceremony was held for the participants of the first cohort of the "Avicenna: Healthcare" program implemented by KazAID. Certificates were presented by Mr. Arken Arystanov, Chairman of KazAID, and Mr. Fuat Erdogmus, Coordinator of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) in Kazakhstan.
The “Avicenna: Healthcare” program is aimed at training medical university students from Central Asia in Kazakhstan. The first cohort consisted of students from Kyrgyzstan, who received theoretical and practical training at the Astana Medical University, along with opportunities to exchange experiences with Kazakhstani peers.
The program included lectures and practical sessions on key areas of medicine, as well as a cultural component with visits to major landmarks of Kazakhstan’s capital.
Training was provided free of charge to the participants through a grant from KazAID.
With its advanced approaches in medical education and healthcare, Kazakhstan aims to share its knowledge and experience with future professionals in the region, thereby strengthening regional cooperation.
