Driving license replacement available on eGov Mobile app
Kazakhstani citizens can replace their driving license online using the eGov Mobile application. The service is available in the event of document expiry, loss, theft or change of personal details. Over 7,000 people have already used the service since its launch.
A key feature of the service is the ability to use a photo from an identity card or passport that has already been issued. The main condition is that the document containing the photo must have been issued within the last three years.
To get the service, the user needs to:
- log in to the eGov Mobile app and go to the «Services» section;
- select the section «Transportation and Communication» and the service «Obtainment of driving license»;
- select CSC to receive the issued document;
- specify the reason for the driving license replacement and upload a photo;
- upload a sample signature and provide a contact phone number;
- pay the state duty (4 915 tenge);
- sign an application using Face ID/Touch ID;
- service delivery result will be available in the personal account – «Notifications»
Once the application has been approved, the license can be collected from the chosen CSC on presentation of an identity card and a valid driving license. The old document remains valid (if it has not expired) until the new one is received.
The service is also available on the eGov.kz portal.
The capability was launched thanks to the cooperation of the Public Services Committee of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, National Information Technologies JSC and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
