KazAID continues “Avicenna: Healthcare” programme in 2025
In 2024 KazAID successfully implemented “Avicenna: Healthcare” programme for the students of medical educational institutions from Central Asia. High rating of the initiative by international students and partners confirmed its importance and in 2025 the programme continues with expanded opportunities.
KazAID relaunches “Avicenna: Healthcare” in partnership with Astana Medical University (AMU) and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), supporting academic mobility and strengthening regional cooperation in medical education field.
The programme aims to support students of medical educational institutions of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan who have achieved high academic success. In 2025, 10 students from these countries will study from 10 April to 2 May within the framework of AMU academic mobility. The programme covers key aspects of medical education and also includes a cultural component with visits to the sights of Astana.
Courses are provided to participants on a non-refundable basis thanks to a grant from the Kazakhstan Agency of International Development «KazAID».
Kazakhstan, with its high level of medical education and advanced approaches in healthcare, shares knowledge and experience, contributing to the development of professional competences of Central Asia’s young specialists.
In the future, it is being planned to further develop the initiative and expand geographical scope.
