GOV.KZ redesign: government websites became more user-friendly and accessible
National Information Technologies JSC (NITEC) has updated the design of the single platform of government agencies (EPIR GO). The update has been carried out by the internal forces of the Company, taking into account the modern standards of comfort, safety and adaptability.
EPIR GO is a technology platform for hosting government internet resources. It ensures consistency of structure and content, provides information in three languages and meets information security requirements. Thanks to this platform, users can receive up-to-date information from government agencies in a convenient format.
The updated design makes government websites more convenient and intuitive to use. NITEC's developers paid particular attention to the adaptability of the interface for mobile devices and the accessibility of the content for people with special needs.
It is important to note that since the launch of EPIR GO in 2020, more than 3,500 government websites have been migrated to the platform. This not only ensured that the design and structure of the sites were consistent, but also greatly simplified the process of managing them. In 2024, website traffic was 35.6 million visits, and since early 2025, around 8 million visits.
Updating the design is an important step in developing EPIR GO. It is planned to expand the functionality of the platform in the future, including introduction of artificial intelligence. These initiatives aim to further improve the convenience of citizens' interactions with government in a digital format, making services more accessible and efficient.
It is important to emphasize that EPIR GO is a constructor that sets uniform technical and design parameters, but the content of the websites remains the responsibility of the government agencies themselves.
